Miss me?
I’m BAAAAAACK!!
Nothing spectacular for this past weekend. I skipped the travels to Charlotte, opting for the Myrtle Beach visit instead. The parents didn’t drive me as insane as normal, although now mom is contradicting her original word regarding helping me with school. So, I guess I will have to see there. Hmm… Didn’t get the laptop that I was hoping for, though, so my other plans went AWOL there. Can’t complain, I did manage to relax a bit, and Todd got me the RENT DVD that I asked for! Too bad there wasn’t a man tied up in a red ribbon for me, though. That would have been a spectacular birthday day then! I have watched RENT three times already since I got it last Thursday, and each time I start crying when it comes to the funeral scene. Will I ever get past that and the memories of Darrell?
Talked to the apartment complex manager as well. Another piece of good news there! I move March 24th into my new apartment. Third floor, one bordering wall…can’t complain! Well, maybe I will be after moving everything up two flights of stairs, but what can you do? I don’t like living below people!
But, back to the drudge of work…so holla at ya’ll later!

Kindly let the power of your compassion arise, To quickly stem the flow of blood and tears. Those unrelentingly cruel ones, objects of compassion, Maddened by delusion's evils, wantonly destroy themselves and others; May they achieve the eye of wisdom, knowing what must be done and undone, And abide in the glory of friendship and love. May this heartfelt wish of total freedom for all Tibet, Which has been awaited for a long time, be spontaneously fulfilled; Please grant soon the good fortune to enjoy The happy celebration of spiritual with temporal rule.
Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.
Let your love flow outward through the universe, To its height, its depth, its broad extent, A limitless love, without hatred or enmity. Then as you stand or walk, Sit or lie down, As long as you are awake, Strive for this with a one-pointed mind; Your life will bring heaven to earth.
May all beings be filled with joy and peace. May all beings everywhere, The strong and the weak, The great and the small, The mean and the powerful, The short and the long, the subtle and the gross: May all beings everywhere, Seen and unseen, Dwelling far off or nearby, Being or waiting to become: May all be filled with lasting joy. Let no one deceive another, Let no one anywhere despise another, Let no one out of anger or resentment Wish suffering on anyone at all. Just as a mother with her own life Protects her child, her only child, from harm, So within yourself let grow A boundless love for all creatures.
By the power and the truth of this practice, may all beings have happiness, and the causes of happiness. May all be free from sorrow, and the causes of sorrow. May all never be separated from the sacred happiness which is sorrowless. And may all live in equanimity, without too much attachment and too much aversion, And live believing in the equality of all that lives.

I have found that the greatest degree of inner tranquility comes from the development of love and compassion. The more we care for the happiness of others, the greater our own sense of well-being.
