Why am I not surprised? Talked to a friend of mine this morning and was trying to explain to him why I was a bit upset about events from over the weekend and he tells me that he is ‘rebuked for taking up for me’. I never asked him to do that. It is appreciated, but, ya know, I am not going to fall into the same damn trap the rest of the gay population has fallen into of finding their own little cliques and looking down on the rest of the population that does not match that criteria. I am tired of it. I will not apologize for standing on my own, for refusing to conform to the ‘standards’ of our society. If someone doesn’t like what I do, or how I do something, or who I talk to, then that is their own issue. I have a life that is trying to not involve drama or bullshit…something that seems to be so flagrant in the gay society. If you don’t like me or what I do, then don’t talk to me. I already get shit from half the crew my friend hangs with anyway. I don’t care anymore. Guess I ask a little more from those I call friends than others do these days. And people wonder why I am such a loner for being a people person.
